Scotties Exploring Chile, New York and Trinidad and Tobago

Happy New Year, and welcome to 2015! All the best in the year of the goat!

Although the spring semester hasn’t started yet and our campus is still empty, some Scotties are currently having some amazing adventures. Three groups of Scotties have been traveling in different parts of the world for a couple of weeks this winter break, and a lot of other students have already taken off or will departure soon to study abroad in another country for a whole semester. Studying abroad and aiming to become a global citizen is very important for us Scotties. We strive to get to know other cultures and learn about differences around the globe. Have you heard of our new initiative, Summit? It is a four-year, global learning and leadership development program that includes a traveling component. It will fully launch next year for the class of 2019, but Scotties are taking advantage of great opportunities already. Follow them on the Agnes Scott College Facebook page to find pictures like these:

Some students haven't left the country but traveled all the way to New York to tour Broadway and develop their interest in Theater. Here they are standing on "The Lion King" stage.

What an amazing bunch of adventures! I will make sure to update you on other opportunities that Scotties get to enjoy from Summit. Check out this short video that will surely make you excited about the initiative.

Feel free to write to me at globaladmission@agnesscott.edu with any questions about Summit or living and studying at Agnes Scott in general.
